More Moss

Here we have the new fragrance ad for "Vintage" by Kate Moss which comes out in September. I'm sure it smells amazing, but the ad itself isn't doing anything for me. The perfume bottle is very generic and the whole ad dosen't necessarily have any vintage connotations. Maybe a bit of 40's or 50's glamour but I feel like they could've done a more interesting ad. Maybe Kate sitting in an old Lincoln with a red lip and a cloche hat, it would depend on what decade she wanted to focus on and the scent of course. But Kate seems to be building a bit of a brand for herself. She has a line for Topshop, four fragrances (this being her fourth), and she's rumored to be the next "Ryan Seacrest" for "So You Want To Be a Rock 'n' Roll Star?" in the UK. She sets trends like it's her day job & has been in the business long enough to know how it all works, so if any model should build a brand, it's Kate. (nymag)
