Balenciaga Fall 2009 Campaign

Jennifer Connelly is the face for the new Fall 2009 campaign shot by the insanely creative Steven Meisel. This isn't her first time posing for the label, as in spring 2008 she also starred in the ads. I mean, obviously theres some sort of message, some sexual innuendo behind the spreading of the legs, but I don't find it vulgar. I think it shows off the clothes rather well. You focus on each piece, the top is amazing, look at her left arm hanging off the couch, the sleeve of the top almost looks like it bends, like rubber, wow. The skirt is great, the light is hitting it at perfect angles. Even the tights she's wearing are emphasized being that her legs are spread apart, and the shoes are amazing, the sharp heel just resting on the couches. The fact that she is laying on a couch, just is saying that the clothes must be comfortable. Even though some people seem to think Jennifer looks "passed out drunk on Nicolas Ghesquiere's couch"... This is a brilliant shot & Steven knows what he's doing. (nymag)
