New York Magazine asked Marc Jacobs if he was looking foward to fashion week... Marc replied "No." Was he looking foward to seeing any shows? "No." Does he enjoy fashion week at all? "Enjoy? Enjoy is a weird word. It's work- work is more about what it's about." NYmag asks "So it's not fun?" "No."
I totally understand. Fashion Week is the most stressful part of being a designer so it's obviously not enjoyable, it's boisterous & tiring. Marc is right, work is what it's about, not about having fun. I'm sure he has a great time at his after parties though, or used to.
